Phoned for an appointment on Tuesday 7th May. Told none left but could book a forward appointment, earliest 28th May so come and queue the next day for an emergency appointment. Queued on 8th May at 7.40, 5th in queue, to be told I wasn’t an emergency case and someone behind me in the queue could be more deserving of an appointment and I could have an appointment on Thursday 9th. Why couldn’t the receptionist on the 7th book me an appointment for the 9th if it was available!?

Consistency of information. The appointment system seems to change on a weekly basis. It is very stressful having to arrange any appointment to see a Dr or Nurse

Overall very positive interaction with Kay, the Nurse Clinician. She was friendly and professional so I left the surgery feeling like it had been a worthwhile visit.

I was at the surgery as part of your drive to check up on patients taking medication and in their 60’s. My blood pressure was taken along with blood samples to screen my cholesterol for which I now take Statins. Being a male patient of 64 years this may have been the perfect opportunity to also capture a urine sample to screen my PSA. Whilst I appreciate the cost implications I would suggest for males of 60 years plus, this is built in to the check up as standard process.

I came because I had a spot on my back, decision was made to refer me to the skin clinic. I don’t see where I could have been involved in that decision apart from agreeing.

Booking an appointment is often extremely frustrating and not always easy.

Ringing on the day involves waiting a while even though you have rung at 8 on the dot. Getting better though.

Lovely nurse, very friendly and professional.

It is very difficult to get through to the surgery by phone and often once through you can’t book an appointment. Having to work at 8.30 - 4 it is very hard to hang on the phone. Going and queueing outside the surgery is t always an option. E consult has not been working on a couple of occasions due to the amount of enquiries
